Dasha M. Horton

Bio

I am a self-driven and enthusiastic botanist. I love to find the intersections between plant evolution and human interactions. I am trained in herbarium curation and phylogenetics. I am currently working at a homestead farm expanding my understanding of small-scale farming and sustainability in Connecticut.

Employment and Education

I worked for four years at the Utah Valley University Herbarium (UVSC) as a curatorial assistant while pursuing my Bachelors in Botany.

Following graduation, I moved from Utah to Chicago and then back to my hometown in Connecticut. I'm looking forward to the journey of developing my knowledge of Flora on the East Coast and the many opportunities this region holds!
